Jim - thanks so much for your reply. This transportation hassle is unfortunately one of the obstacles to tourism, of course. It's a very unfortunate situation.

We have moved our permanent arrival date up to the season because of the airline schedules as we are travelling from Europe with pets.

I guess this season (2009/2010) wasn't much better than last from what I hear. This is devastating to the hotel and restaurant owners...how will they make it?

Thanks again for responding and hope to meet you when you are in the island.
