Cool Getting There - Ottawa Citizen Newspaper

IF YOU GO:

By Laura Robin, the Ottawa Citizen's travel editor.

Getting there: You can fly Air Canada from Toronto (with connections from Ottawa) to Barbados, then LIAT airline from Barbados to Grenada. Total cost: about $1,200 to $1,600 return. Another option is to fly BWIA (British West Indies Airline) from Toronto to Trinidad or Barbados (about $600 return), then LIAT or Caribbean Star to Grenada (about $200 to $240 return).

Packages: Air Canada Vacations will resume package trips from Toronto to Grenada on Dec. 19, with connections from Ottawa. Prices range from $1,449 to $4,779 for a week, but a sale, with saving of up to $400 per couple, is to be announced soon, a spokesman says. See http://www.aircanadavacations.com
